Fly far above the ground and far above the tops of the trees. Zig and zag over more than one and a half miles of zip line back and forth across a giant mountain bowl.
Ziplines Go Big!
The zips start small on Gravity, but quickly grow to 1800 feet on the third line and up to 3,100 FEET on the last, ridiculous zip. That one, “Adrena-Line,” is longer than the New River Gorge Bridge. It soars to 200 feet above the ground and riders routinely hit speeds of more than 60 mph.
Our aerial guides are trained extensively on the courses on which they work in everything from normal operations to rescue. They’re also pretty funny.
We provide harnesses, helmets, gloves and guides.
What to Bring
Closed-toed secure footwear is required. Dress for the weather, as we go rain or shine: In spring and fall, bring wool or polypropylene jackets and a windbreaker. For cold and wet weather, bring a jacket or polypropylene, pile fleece and a windbreaker. Avoid loose clothing and store loose items at our facility before your trip. Sunglasses and sunscreen are also recommended. We supply gloves.
Requirements & Restrictions
It is wise to consult your family physician to determine whether you are physically capable to handle an increase in activity, adrenaline and short walk up the hill. The weight of a participant affects the speed at which you travel on the zip lines. For your safety and ours, participants need to weigh a minimum of 100 lbs. and a maximum of 260 lbs. You will be weighed on a go-no go scale.
Our professional guides will review the procedures, explain the hazards and quickly reassure anyone who is anxious to take the tour. You will be clipped onto a steel cable that can support more than a ton of weight. At anytime during the practice zip you can decide to quit. You can also quit after any zip line on the Gravity Tour, but you may have to hike out as there is no road access to platforms in the middle of the tour.
Gravity Zip Lines run rain or shine. We temporarily close the course during lightning storms or high winds. If we know in advance that we will be closed, we will try to contact you. If your Gravity trip is canceled, we will offer you the option to participate in another activity, rebook for a different day or time or issue a rain check.
